Surgical Scrub Technician

Join Kansas City’s leading eye care team! At Discover Vision Centers, we believe in working together to provide the best eye care for our patients. We are currently hiring for a Surgical Scrub Technician to join our ever growing team of professionals who share our main focus of GREAT PATIENT CARE!

Responsibilities:

• Assists in admitting process of patients as directed by RN.
• Provides postoperative instructions and discharge VS, including written sheet and take home kit.
• Sterile processing of supplies and equipment.
• Assists with purchasing and organization of medical, office and linen supplies.
• Monitors vital signs, provides RN with report of VS, pain assessment, condition of eye patch, etc.
• Assists surgeon with procedures as needed.
• Assists in stocking of preoperative/postoperative are.
• Assists with turnover and set-up of OR.
• Opens sterile packs, supplies, instruments.
• General clean-up responsibilities of ASC.
• Other responsibilities as directed by the Director of Nursing.

Requirements

•  High School Diploma. 
•  BLS certified. 
• Minimum two years surgical scrub technician experience.
• Basic knowledge of medical/surgical terminology. 
• Excellent verbal communication skills. 
• Willingness to acquire new skills in the OR setting. 
• Must have the ability to function as a team member.
